About Me

My photo
Anne & Glen
So we met in 1977, lived variously in Horseshoe Bay, Saltspring Island, North Delta, North Vancouver. Had a dog and a cat for awhile, bought and sold 3 houses, reproduced ourselves with a son and a daughter, did community volunteer stuff, had jobs, owned a business, sold the business, and now we're retired, or as my friend Marilyn suggests "reframed". Sounds better somehow! It started as a "I want to change things" to "is it possible to change things" to "how do we change things" to "what if this could work" to "that's a bit scary" to "let's do it!" So we sold the house, we're packing up 37 years worth of the stuff we aren't ready to part with yet, storing it and heading out on the road for a year. What will it be like - just the two of us without our usual safety net of friends, family and familiar places? How will Glen cope without his golf clubs? Can Anne manage without her favourite gym for the body and gym for the mind? What's it like to be a nomad? What if we can't find a place to stay? What if there's no free wi-fi? And a thousand other what if's . . . Stay tuned. We leave May 29 - first stop England.
